Tashkent Textile Summit - an event organised within the framework of the Tashkent Textile Week, traditionally held in early autumn, aimed at bringing together representatives and experts of the global textile business.
The Summit is the only professional platform in Central Asia and the CIS that brings together representatives of the textile and fashion industries on a single platform to discuss new trends and challenges in the textile world.
The summit’s organisers, the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade and the Uztekstilprom Association, have been gathering international experts from all over the world for the 10th year in a row and promoting global cooperation and exchange in the cotton, textile and fashion industries.
In 2022, the Summit will draw the participant’s attention to the topic “New balance in the global textile market - players and trends”, within which the participants' attention will be drawn to the issues of sustainability and traceability of resources and textile innovations.
In the rapidly developing world of the textile business, there is an increase in the consumption of sustainable products. Consumers are interested not only in the design or quality of products but also in how the brand and manufacturer produce products, how much human and natural resources are spent, employer-employee relationships, rights and gender equality, in general, traceability and transparency of the entire chain - this an integral part and value of each product.
International and domestic experts in the field of sustainability and traceability in the textile industry will talk about new players in the textile business, where the primary resources are directed and how fast retailing is a game changer on the world stage.
